By creating a logo, graphics, media buzz through public relations and taking award-winning photography of the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Trails, RedHouseMedia assisted the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Crew as they built a brand — and a destination.
The logo for the Salsa Oremageddon bike race was inspired by the Cuyuna area’s rich history in iron ore mining. The event’s website allows people to learn more about the race, the race route, even conveniently register to participate. Eye-catching posters featuring the race sponsors were also placed around the community to help stir interest in the event.
The legend of the Cuyuna Lakes Yeti began with Whiteout, the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Crew’s winter bike race. The yeti is featured in the event’s logo and carried through on the event poster and t-shirts. To this day, we still hear stories about yeti sightings on Cuyuna’s winter trails.
When the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Crew received a matching grant to expand and improve the trails, RedHouseMedia assisted in the fundraising efforts by creating a website, video and public relations campaign to get people talking — and donating. The website details the potential expansion project, a running total of funds raised so far, and the option to make a tax-deductible donation online. The video, complete with animated trail maps and action-packed footage from the trails is also featured on the website’s homepage.
